Amorgos is literally placed in the middle of the deep blue of the Aegean Sea It is positioned between Naxos and Astypalaia and it is the most eastern island of the Cyclades.

The island has an elongated shape, covering 121 square kilometres and a population of 1880 inhabitants, who are mainly occupied in the shipping industry, fishing, sponge diving, farming, animal raising and tourism.

The capital of the island is Hora. It is built away from the sea, in order to be at a safe distance and protected from the pirates. “Hora”, the traditional capital village is one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean, however it is not the only reason to visit this charming island. Visiting “Hozoviotissa” Monastery, one of the most impressive Greek Orthodox monasteries, is a lifetime experience, not to be missed either. Like a white dove, nestled in a tall and steep cliff, offers breathtaking views to the “endless blue” of the Aegean Sea! Last but not least, if you visit Amorgos, you will be impressed by the light of the sun and the contrasts it creates among the colors of blue sea, the sky, the land and the whitewashed “cycladian” cubic houses. Katapola and Aigiali are the main ports of Amorgos and Potamos, Tholaria, Langada are some of the most populated villages of the island.

Amorgos is the best place for relax and meditation and that is way it has become the ideal destination for yoga lovers. Yoga sessions take place throughout the whole year, organized by teachers from all over the world!
